Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) allows you to use a remote web server as though it were a local file server. This means you have local access to your MiSafe file directories and can use your computer's file manager to upload and download multiple files.
WebDAV is a handy alternative to the MiSafe desktop software and should be used in environments where the MiSafe desktop software cannot be used.
You can view, manage, move, copy, save, and rename the files and directories in your My WebSpace account just as you would perform the same actions in file manager. In particular, you can drag and drop files between your MiSafe directories and other directories on your local computer.
WebDAV is a function of the OS. The MiSafe WebDAV functions work well with the WebDAV interfaces in MS Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
Mobile Access allows you to take advantage of both the MiSafe mobile portal and our mobile applications (coming soon).
MiSafe provides a mobile portal which is a version of the standard secure web portal optimised for mobile browsers giving you access to your files wherever you go.
MiSafe is also developing a number of mobile applications for iPhone, Symbian and Blackberry to give you full access to your files as well as additional features such as uploading directly from your device and viewing/editing documents on the go.
This is the amount of space you require on your MiSafe storage space.
You can select the amount of space you think you will need to keep your files safe.
Here's a rough guide to give you an idea of how much you can store:
5GB - Around 1,200 MP3s or 2,500 digital photos
20GB - Around 5,000 MP3s or 10,000 digital photos
50GB - Around 13,000 MP3s or 25,500 digital photos
100GB - Around 25,500 MP3s or 51,000 digital photos
This is the number of non-paying users you can give access to your shared spaces.
Paying users do not count against your number of spaces users so to give an example, if you have a shared space that you want to share with 6 family members or colleagues but one of them already has a MiSafe account, you will need to select 5 users.
Having a shared space is like sharing a folder with other people, it is separate from your main storage space but you can give other people access to the space and let them view and comment on your files or even upload files to your shared space. You control who can do what on a per-user basis for each space
This is the number of computers you wish to use our backup and/or virtual drive software on.
If you have a computer and a laptop at home and a computer in the office, you will need to select 3 computers.
Each computers' backed up files are kept separately and ready to be restored in the event of a problem whenever you need.
If you use the virtual drive across multiple computers, you can make changes on one and instantly see the results on the others - just like a shared drive.
