Once you have <a title="Download the MiSafe desktop software" href="/download">downloaded our desktop software</a> double click on the installer and follow the on-screen instructions. Once you have restarted your computer you will be asked to enter your login information.</p>

Once you have a MiSafe account, enter the username and password you setup when you signed up for MiSafe and enter a name to identify your PC on the MiSafe secure web portal &#8211; this can be anything you like and will appear in your devices on your dashboard. One you have entered your information click the &#8220;Next&#8221; button.</td>

<p>Next you will be asked which files and folders you would like to backup to MiSafe. Here, we have selected to backup our documents folder and our pictures folder. You can also add additional folders by clicking the &#8220;Add folder&#8221; button. You can backup files and folders at a later date by right-clicking them in Windows Explorer and selecting the MiSafe menu or by using our control panel applet in your computer control panel. Once you have finished selecting the items click the &#8220;Next&#8221; button.</td>

<p>Finally, you will be asked whether you would like to mount your MiDrive automatically. If you keep this option checked MiSafe will add a new drive to your computer which can be used to keep your documents safe and available to you wherever you go.</td>

<p>To signup to MiSafe we require some information about you. All we need is your first and last name as well as an email address that we can contact you with and a username you would like to use to login to MiSafe. Please enter a valid email address as we will send out a verification email before you can start using your account. Once you have entered all the required information please select the type of account you would like and click the &#8220;Signup&#8221; button. <br/><br/><strong>Please note that you can only signup for a personal account on your iPhone. If you would like a business account please first signup for MiSafe Business <a href="https://portal.misafe.com/signup">here</a>.</td>
