Windows Desktop Installation Guide

Getting up and running with MiSafe for Windows couldn’t be easier. Once you have downloaded our desktop software double click on the installer and follow the on-screen instructions. Once you have restarted your computer you will be asked to enter your login information.

1. Entering login information

If you do not already have an account, click here to signup or click the link in the setup wizard to setup your new account. Once you have a MiSafe account, enter the username and password you setup when you signed up for MiSafe and enter a name to identify your PC on the MiSafe secure web portal – this can be anything you like and will appear in your devices on your dashboard. One you have entered your information click the “Next” button.

2. Logging in to MiSafe…

The setup wizard will verify your account details and register your computer with the MiSafe storage service. Once this is complete you can then decide how you would like MiSafe to work.

3. Backup settings

Next you will be asked which files and folders you would like to backup to MiSafe. Here, we have selected to backup our documents folder and our pictures folder. You can also add additional folders by clicking the “Add folder” button. You can backup files and folders at a later date by right-clicking them in Windows Explorer and selecting the MiSafe menu or by using our control panel applet in your computer control panel. Once you have finished selecting the items click the “Next” button.

4. Almost done!

Finally, you will be asked whether you would like to mount your MiDrive automatically. If you keep this option checked MiSafe will add a new drive to your computer which can be used to keep your documents safe and available to you wherever you go.

iPhone setup guide

Once you have downloaded the MiSafe app for the iPhone from the App Store you can start accessing your files on the move by following this simple setup guide.

1. Entering login information

If you do not already have an account, click here to signup for a free account or click the link in the setup wizard to setup your new account. Once you have a MiSafe account, enter your Username and Password you setup when you signed up for MiSafe and enter a name to identify your PC on the MiSafe secure web portal – this can be any name you like and will appear in your devices list in your online dashboard. One you have entered your information click the “Next” button.

2. Signup for an account

To signup to MiSafe we require some information about you. All we need is your first and last name as well as an email address that we can contact you with and a username you would like to use to login to MiSafe. Please enter a valid email address as we will send out a verification email before you can start using your account. Once you have entered all the required information please select the type of account you would like and click the “Signup” button.

Please note that you can only signup for a personal account on your iPhone. If you would like a business account please first signup for MiSafe Business here.

3. Entering your login information

Please enter the username and password you selected when you signed up to MiSafe and click the “Login” button. The App will verify your details with the MiSafe servers and activate once your details have been confirmed.

4. All done!

You are now ready to start using MiSafe for the iPhone! Click one of the large buttons on the home screen to select from your MiDrive, MiBackups, MiShares and MiSpaces and use the ‘+’ button to create a folder or the camera button to upload a picture from your iPhone. If you are already using MiSafe desktop or the MiSafe web portal you will see all your files and be able to share, comment and much more straight from your iPhone!

Welcome to MiSafe for iPad

When you open the App for the first time you will be asked to enter your login information. If you do not already have a account please click the “Signup” button and proceed to the step below. If you do already have an account, please skip to “Entering your login information” below.
